If you ask anyone in the United States, what their favorite food is, the majority will more than likely say that it is  pizza. Hamburger will come a close second, then comes Mexican food.

Now you ask what is there favorite kind of pizza is, well, that will give a very wide range of answers. Some will say something like pepperoni and cheese. Others will tell you a specific type of pizza from a specific place, because they prepare it a specific way.

Now to do a price comparison of pizzas is very hard. The mere fact having such a large number of variables. So I decided to compare four different places that sell pizzas. I chose them because they are so different from each other.

Domino’s is a national recognized chain that largely sells pizza. Over the past few years they have expanded into pizza like sandwiches. There large 2 topping pizza is advertised for $7.99.

Papa Murphy’s is the second place we are going to look at. They are different they Domino’s in that they do not cook their pizza. Papa Murphy’s makes the pizza, then you take it home a cook it (aka Take N Bake).  Their large 2 topping pizza will run you is  $10.99. Here I must point out that promote heavily what they call Signature Pizza’s that run $12.99.

Flying Pie Pizzaria is locally owned and operated. Their pizza menu is untraditional with very untraditional names. Flying Pie Pizza’s are cooked and eating in their rustic locations. However, there is take out for those who request it. So to in a large 2 topping pizza would have to be special ordered. Flying Pie’s 12″ pizza will range from $13 to $18.

Winco Foods at grocery store chain the northwest of the United States makes and sells a their own take-n-bake pizza. They are made fresh at each stores location and sold there. It comes in one size; 14″ diameter. There 2 or 3 topping sell for $5.98.

Finally, the tradition pre-made frozen pizza that we go to for a quick comfort food means for fill our stomach. My personal favorite DiGiorno with two topping can be got a Wal Mart or Winco for under $5.00.
