The true test of any product or service is the amount of repeat business it gets. New customers will come and go, but the ones that keep coming back is the true test of the business’s merit.
Repeat business is dependent upon that first impression. Rarely does a business get a second chance to WOW a customer to the point when they will return. Most of the time a customer does not return to that business because there was no overwhelming WOW factor.
Years ago we went with Tmobile as our cell phone carrier, because they offered a great deal on a nice flip phone for my wife and myself. Over the years they have always given us good service at a reasonable price. So we keep using them for our cell phone carrier.
A couple days ago, my wife dropped her cell phone. She was afraid she was going to have to down grade to a basic flip phone until we got enough money to buy a new one. So fearing the worst we went into our local Tmobile store.
All the sales staff were very busy. We thought about coming back later. Then this sales person Jeff G. would come up to my wife and I. He apologized that we had to wait, and stated he would be with us in 5 minutes.
Approximately, one hour later my wife walked out the door. She was able to get a new upgraded phone. I had an upgraded the mini SD card for my phone. Later I took a detail look at our bill. We had got over $50 in discounts, plus the phone upgrade. We both had smiles on our face.
Ten plus years ago my wife and I had went out to dinner to this chain Italian restaurant. It was to be a semi romantic time together. The waitress keep coming up to our table asking if our dinner was to our liking, then a few minutes later she would come by trying to up sell us on some item.
Last night, our daughter and I finally convinced my wife to go back to that restaurant. The food was good. The dining experience was still tainted from 10 years ago. We may go back, but I cannot really say at this time.
