Valentine’s Day is one of those day’s we must not forget, or else! Or else a loved one, or mother maybe hurt, disappointed or upset at the very least. We do have help in not forgetting. Television commercials, displays in stores, and email having been reminding me for almost a month. February 14th is Valentines Day, and we should get our loved one some gift.
Now we know we got to get our wife, mother, or our special loved one something on or before February 14th. We got to find that perfect gift that will make them happy. If the gift is really special then their eyes will burst out in tears of joy.
Over the years I have given some really bad gifts. Most of those gifts were given with the idea of practicality in mind. Other times I ran out to the store to get something out of guilt for not getting anything. Since then I have learn to take a more planned methodical approach.
If we walk down the aisles in Wal Mart’s seasonal section, we will find cards, candy, little stuffed animals and more. These are okay for a token gift. If you want to make this Valentines Day really special, then start looking elsewhere.
Jewelry stores want you to believe a special heart designed necklace or pinon is the perfect Valentines Day gift for your loved one. They may like it. I know they will definitely be impress by the amount of money you would of have spent.
The perfect Valentines Day gift digs deep into the emotional pool of time spent together. It brings to the surface one of those defining moments in a relationship that is shared by two people who are deeply in love with each other.
At this point I want to write about what I am getting my wife for Valentines Day, but I am not. She will read this article. I don’t want to spoil the surprise. What I will do is give you some examples.
Example 1 – The place of first meeting for two lovers always holds a special memory. Sometimes the words, a spontaneous smile, or a smell brings back the memory of that place and time. Revisiting that place is always good. A photograph or painting can be the next best thing.
Example 2 - Special times of you and your lover conquering the world together is a good memory. An event when and where it was sealed your love was strong. A gift that reminds your love of that time and place can make the perfect gift. It can be something simple like a tee shirt, or a coffee cup.
Example 3 - Creating a new experience of romantic bonding is another idea for a perfect Valentines Day gift. A special night out with dinner and a movie is good. However, if you add a twist of lemon it can be so much better. Say, dinner on a roof top, under the stars makes for something new and exciting.
I have just given you three examples that could make for the perfect Valentines Day gift. Don’t do like I have done in years past. I have turned what should of have been a romantic time into an embarrassing time. Gifts like microwave ovens, and gym memberships should not be given as Valentine Day gifts.
I want to hear from you. Tell me what is your best Valentines Day gift. Who gave it, and what it meant to you.
