This has been a rough year for the Toyota motor company. During the first part of 2010 news came out about how Toyota had covered an accelerator problem with the Prius. Just a few month ago Toyota recalled a long list of cars because of brake fluid issues. Still I am seeing quite a few Toyota’s on the road.
I am not hearing of any major issues with the Toyota brand in the news. However, Automotive.com does list a very large number of makes and models that have been recalled this year.
At the start of 2010 The Huffington Post report there was a recalls for gas pedals sticking. The Toyota Prius was not in this list. There was quite a large number of other models on the list.
The Chevy Truck along with the Ford, and Dodge have been around as long as there has been trucks on roads in the United States.
Older Chevy Silverado 1500′s have had the reputation as a strong sound truck that lacked in style. The newer editions has definitely change in the area of style and comfort. Grained upholstery, and softer materials new make is a more enjoyable ride for taking the ranchers daughter on a date. However, the half-ton Chevrolet Silverado remains a solid reputation and performance no matter what the intended use.
This is the day before Christmas. Many of us are looking for a fuel efficient, green car in our future. The Toyota Prius is to the 2009 what the Toyota Corolla was to the late 1960′s and 1970′s. Both cars are break through cars of their day. That is way the Toyota Corolla is still in production, with a new changes over the years.
The Toyota Prius has become the standard for automakers when it comes to gasoline/electric hybrid vehicles. The popularity and sales history makes the Toyota’s first hybrid car very popular. Having the Prius do a cameo appearance on The Closer does not hurt its’ reputation.
