Like through out mo...

Las Vegas is a great place to go for a getaway vacation. It is also know as one of the most popular places to hold a trade show. If you look at the Las Vegas Convention Convention Center there is back to back trade shows. Gas Mileage Lies
On morning news there was a sniped about a lady who sued Honda for misrepresentation of their gas mileage. It was in small claims court, but still won $10,000. Interesting! It has become pretty much accepted, by all of us, what the sticker gas mileage would be under ideal condition. I am glad someone has stepped up to say, "We are not going to take it anymore!" When I look at different makes...
Touch Screen Desktop Computers
I first saw touch screens computers in the food processing industry back in the late 90's. Since then the technology and the price has been slowly been dropping. As a result we now see more cell phones with touch screens than without. The overall adoption of a touch screen desktop computer has been slow mostly because of the cost. We are seeing the price going under the $1,000 mark. This makes ...
Social Responsible Buying
Last week the name Foxconn and Apple were in all the headlines. It was not about great profits, or some new electronic gadget. It was about the inhumane treatment of the workers in China. What is interesting to note is that Foxconn does not just manufacture electronics for Apple. Foxconn manufacture over 50% of the electronics sold in the United States. Mistreatment of works or labors misbeh...

Search for a Practical Usable Tablet
Since before Thanksgiving I have been slowing giving into the idea of getting a tablet. I have looked at all the major brands of tablets and eReaders. I have been trying to imagine how often I would use it. I watch how other people would use their tablets. While attending a local trade show I noticed a large majority of the vendors were using iPads. There were only a few who had other tablets....
Cruise or Not to Cruise
Here we are at the end of January 2012. Texas is getting heavy rains. Snow and Cold is covering most all of the northern hemisphere. I close my eyes and think of a hot summer day with the sun beating down on may face. Then in an instant, I jump into a nice cool swimming pool. Yes, what better time to plan a summer vacation than when the chilling cold is biting your bones, and the sky is all gloomy...

Shopping for a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

Posted By: The Shopping Nazi on April 28, 2011 in Automotive, Food - Comments: 1 Comment »

This week we look at the FordF-150 Raptor, as we continue to look a the top rated pickup trucks. I wanted to see if it is marketing hype or this pick up truck is worth being rating one of the best.

If you just by the truck name Raptor you are referring to a pre-historic creature that was a flesh eater. From the initial impression of the website the Ford Raptor is a lot more modern than pre-historic. Ford has built the Raptor for a sophisticated off road experience.

Under the hood is a gutsy 6.2 liter V8 good for 411 horsepower. Carrying up to 5 passengers and towing up to 8000 pounds is not your standard F-150. Add to it a 36 gallon fuel tank makes this truck and mans truck.

All the reviews I found were getting me excited. Edmunds.com’s reviews was very impressed with, “glides over the rough stuff with as much power and smoothness as the Raptor”. MackTruck.org reviewer called the Raptor, “a perfect addition to his stable featuring high-horsepower vehicles”. MotorMouths.com raved saying, “Raptor tackles both asphalt and desert sands so masterfully that it is instantly deserving of supercar status”.

The Buick car company dates back 1903 when it was first incorporated. The following year it produced 37 model B touring cars.  Since the 1940′s the name Buick has been equated with the working man’s luxury car.

In the last 10 years, Buick has been going through a reinvention of sorts. It launched several new models design to re-excite its image and increase its fan base. The Buick LaCrosse is one of those models, making its debuted in 2005.

Auto Recon – Chevy HHR

Posted By: Craig Ballhagen on February 10, 2010 in Automotive - Comments: 5 Comments »

This week we are going to look at a relative newcomer to the compact wagon model class. The Chevrolet HHR look like the Chrysler PT Cruiser. The HHR name stands for “Heritage High Roof.” The PT Cruiser and HHR are both referred to as tall roof retro-wagons.

A four door wagon has the same front-wheel-drive mechanics as does the Chevrolet Cobalt. Giving the Chevy HHR a stable control. Add a large 17 inch or 18 inch wheels to a quality suspensions system and top it off with a premium stereo, you have a cool ride.
