It is that start of a new year and there are many exciting thing we have planned. First off our association with KIDARadio.com. Second is a new Tuesday series of post on the process behind shopping and saving money.
KIDARadio.com is more than just another internet radio station. What the creators have in mind is music, thought provoking shows, and a means for businesses of Idaho to showcase their products and services for Idaho and the world.
You will find not only portions of this blog on KIDARadio.com, but you will find money saving coupons and products. In 2010, the trend of online coupons and deals were combined with daily deals. KIDARadio.com adds the entertainment aspect with internet radio. That is why I wanted to introduce you to KIDARadio.com as the first part of my series called Shopping with the Shopping Nazi.
When I go shopping, my goal is to get the best possible quality at the best possible price. However, there are times where I want to go shopping for the experience. If I do go shopping for the experience, I know I will be paying more than if I go shopping for just price.
Those of you who have been following me, on the blog, know that in warmer weather I like to go to yard sales and flea markets. There I go shopping for experience. The thrill and adventure of finding that item I am not of have know that I need. No matter how much money I have on that item, I have spent that and maybe more driving from one yard sale to another.
Now when I go to farmer’s markets is a little different experience. I have a pretty good idea what is going to be a certain farmer’s markets. I know that atmosphere will be somewhat festive. I expect to pay extra in the goods I buy there for the experience, as well as promote local vendors.
If I go to a warehouse type stores like Costco or Winco, I know I am going to same money. The experience is not going to be exciting or adventurous. When I go to these type of stores, I just want to save money.
Buying online is reserved for purchase where there are special deals. If I order something will be a few days before I get to hold it in my hand. At lot of time these special deals are well worth the wait. They may even be something that I cannot get if I go into my local Wal Mart or Costco.
