Anyone can waste money by eating out. But there are time you just need to get out of the kitchen and
out of the house. A mini vacation you might say.My wife and I try to get out at least once a week, to sit down together some place and share a meal. No agenda, just sitting there talking small stuff. As a general rule we try to find a restaurant that we have not visited, or one that it has been a long time, since we were there.
Moon’s Kitchen is on that I saw on through a friend on Facebook. Since my wife and I were going to be in downtown Boise, it seemed like a good place to good for breakfast.
We walked in about 8:30 on a Thursday morning. There were only about six people sitting at various places. We found a table in about the middle of the small dinning area against the wall.
For the next half hour I enjoyed smooth tasting coffee, hometown Americana eggs along with corned beef hash. My wife enjoyed flank steak and eggs with orange juice. None of which we could find any distasteful.
Service was not the sicking sweet you get from some chain restaurants. The waitress was real. I would guess in her early 40’s.
The bill was comfortable $21.98 for the two of us. We felt the service and food was well worth the experience.
I hear the Moon’s Kitchen is really famous for their milk shakes. Well, we are going to try them on our next visit.
If you are ever in downtown Boise Idaho, go to 712 West Idaho Street. The place is called Moon’s Kitchen have their corned beef hash and eggs. Tell them The Shopping Nazi sent you.
