Saturday at the Western Idaho Fairground was what was billed as the third annual Idaho Largest Garage Sale. There was no garages for sale. There was 100 yards by 100 yards of parking lot set aside for people to sell and others to come and buy those hard to find items.
Shortly after 8am, the whole family piled into our Dodge Caravan, and headed to the Western Idaho Fairgrounds. In route we stopped at the local Winco to get a quick snack before heading to our Saturday morning adventure.
This is only the third year of this giant garage sale. It has become a yearly family event for us. Each year we more then saved what we paid in gate entrance fees. This year was no different.
This year was a little different in that all the major non-profit thrift stores were represented; Salvation Army, Idaho Youth Ranch, Goodwill Industries and the Boy Scouts. Each were offering shoppers with some real deals on misc items.
I would be a miss not to mention a few booths were introducing new products to get buyers response. One new product was a great little camping accessories was being introduced as “Tree Huggerz“.
The Tree Huggerz is a great little accessory for campers who need to keep items off the ground. It is promoted as the Ultimate Campsite Organizer.
Then there was a host of other craft people, exhibiting their wears. Some out right junk collectors with a few in boxes of collector’s editions of NASCAR greats. I even counted 6 local radio stations were representation.
We walked out the gate we entered three hours later $40 lighter. In our tote bags were cloths, hats, a pink poky-dot cell phone case, and new pair of sun glasses for my daughter. There were some of the treasures that we got at Idaho Largest Garage Sale.
If you missed this year Garage Sale, I would recommend that you watch there website and plan to attend next year.
