In the first part of February, I set down with James Stocker to talk about insurance we progressed from auto insurance to homeowners insurance. From that meeting he help me write Auto Insurance – Get the Facts.
It was in that meeting, James was telling me that he has seen about 95% of the family’s who group their homeowner and auto insurance together save up to 20%.
All mortgage companies require homeowners insurance. Many realtor’s, mortgage companies refer or recommend certain insurance companies for homeowner insurance. The truth be known you can shop around for the best company and best rate for your homeowner insurance.
Homeowners insurance like auto insurance can vary from company to company. It’s also important to keep in mind that the company that had the best rate for your neighbor may not be the best company for you. Don’t be afraid to ask your friends and family who they use and don’t be afraid to shop around.
JD Powers and Associates rates homeowner insurance companies. In order to get the best deal along with the best quality, I would stop by JD Powers and Associates website. The worst thing that can happen to a home owner is to have insurance that pays the mortgage company, but leaves you with a piece of land and not home on it.
