It is not hard to give a woman some money and say, “Get a new outfit”. Some may like it to turning a kid loose in a candy store or putting a guy in the tool department at Sears.
I must stop here and give you a disclaimer. Like any red blood guy, when it comes to shopping with their wife, it can be quite a traumatic event. I give my wife a rough budget. She walks into the womens clothing section and I head the other way.
Most of the time when a sales person asks if they can help, their end goal is to get as much money out of you bank account and into theirs. This was not the case last Thursday.
That is what happen on January 21st, 2010. After going to several discount clothing store, my wife just could not find the right dress or outfit. Then she walked into the DressBarn.
DressBarn or Dress Barn, however you want write it. It left quite impression on my wife. It was such an impression, that I had to write about it.
She came out of that store under budget, smiling, and feeling good about the whole experience. On top of that the outfit look great on her. It was obvious the sales person that helped her was exceptional.
Talking to my wife, she told me that the sales lady gave her HONEST feedback as to what would work and what not work with her body type. Note I underlined and capitalized the work honest.
Later that day, my wife and I went to a luncheon. At that luncheon my wife received multiple compliments about that out she had just bought. For you guys, that is how a woman knows if she has made the right decision, when picking out a new outfit.
I am not a part of the marketing team at DressBarn, but I do think, “Good Price and Great Service” could really be their motto. That was the impression the Boise, ID store, and sales person had on my wife and I.
