Gas Mileage Lies
On morning news there was a sniped about a lady who sued Honda for misrepresentation of their gas mileage. It was in small claims court, but still won $10,000. Interesting! It has become pretty much accepted, by all of us, what the sticker gas mileage would be under ideal condition. I am glad someone has stepped up to say, "We are not going to take it anymore!" When I look at different makes...
Touch Screen Desktop Computers
I first saw touch screens computers in the food processing industry back in the late 90's. Since then the technology and the price has been slowly been dropping. As a result we now see more cell phones with touch screens than without. The overall adoption of a touch screen desktop computer has been slow mostly because of the cost. We are seeing the price going under the $1,000 mark. This makes ...
Social Responsible Buying
Last week the name Foxconn and Apple were in all the headlines. It was not about great profits, or some new electronic gadget. It was about the inhumane treatment of the workers in China. What is interesting to note is that Foxconn does not just manufacture electronics for Apple. Foxconn manufacture over 50% of the electronics sold in the United States. Mistreatment of works or labors misbeh...

Search for a Practical Usable Tablet
Since before Thanksgiving I have been slowing giving into the idea of getting a tablet. I have looked at all the major brands of tablets and eReaders. I have been trying to imagine how often I would use it. I watch how other people would use their tablets. While attending a local trade show I noticed a large majority of the vendors were using iPads. There were only a few who had other tablets....
Cruise or Not to Cruise
Here we are at the end of January 2012. Texas is getting heavy rains. Snow and Cold is covering most all of the northern hemisphere. I close my eyes and think of a hot summer day with the sun beating down on may face. Then in an instant, I jump into a nice cool swimming pool. Yes, what better time to plan a summer vacation than when the chilling cold is biting your bones, and the sky is all gloomy...

Groupon Coupon Yollar Crazy
I a generally stay away from the whole cutting of coupons. The putting them into an organized folder, and taking this big folder to the grocery store. In addition I get frustrated when I have to look for the brand and size of soda matches my coupon. The few time I did take coupons, I found myself spending about the same amount of money, while getting stuff I would not normally get. It is one ...

Posted By: The Shopping Nazi on December 27, 2011 in Announcements - Comments: Comments Off

We have gone shopping and more. A lot of stores are wanting to unload what they did not sell over the Christmas shopping season. Some stores like Best Buy did not expect to sell as much as they did.

2011 has been a very good year. 2012 will be an even better year. We are taking a little break to rest, and refocus for the coming year. It is our goal to show where to find more money saving deals.

I was looking back over Shopping with The Shopping Nazi. There are so much more that can be added. I am going to spend the next couple of weeks to add the material. At least two more chapters will be added; After Care, along with Safe Practices for Computers and Cell Phones. When we return on January 10th, you will get the Reader’s Digest version of After Care.

In that week the weekly podcast will return on the TalkShoe podcasting network, and maybe a few others.

In the words of The Terminator, “I’ll be back!” When we coming back we will be terminating waste of our hard earned money. So until January 10th Happy Shopping.

Giving Thanks for Another Year

Thanksgiving is Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and football. Smells coming from the kitchen are so inviting taste testers. To much food, and to little exercise make this day a time of family and friends.

The year is almost over. It seems the period of time between Thanksgiving and New Years Day is the payday for the work done the rest of the year. Today, is the day we set aside to be thankful for what has come our way. It does not matter if has been good and bad. Things could of have been a lot worse.

We are thankful for:

Blog Action Day 2011

Posted By: The Shopping Nazi on October 16, 2011 in Announcements, Food - Comments: Comments Off

Today is Blog Action Day for 2011. This is when bloggers everywhere raise their voices as one voice. So many times bloggers express their opinions in different directions. Today, we all want express our voice in one specific direction. That direction is about to talk about food. I want to address the issue of hunger, and famine. Why?

In the world we live today there is no reason for an one child to elderly adult to go hungry. We have the scientific advance to grow food just about any where we want. The real reason of hunger comes from greedy, mean men and women who do not want to share the resources they have.

I am reminded of a Sunday School lesson where the Children of Israel where wondering in the wilderness. They could go out a gather the food they needed for that day. Everyone had plenty. Some of the people went out and gathered more than their share. The tried to store up the extra food. By the next morning that extra food was rotten.
