FordEdge The Ford Edge is another one of the motor vehicles that is half SUV and half sedan and half mini van. A three way halves? Well, a third of each, thus making it a true crossover. I should be nice The Ford Edge has only been around since 2007.

Most vehicles have a third-row seating, the Ford Edge opted to just have two. However, with just two row seating comes roomy second-row seat. The rear seats also recline. This is great for long trips.

You can also fold the rear seat forward (though not entirely flat) for increased cargo space. The Ford’s Edge storage capacity is less than other crossover class vehicles.

When it comes to power under the hood the Ford Edge delivers a 265 horsepower from a 3.5-liter V6 engine. The six-speed automatic transmission comes standard. All-wheel drive (AWD) is optional across all trims, making this great from parts of the country with winter time snow.

Gas mileage is an unimpressive 17 in town and 24 on the open road. This is really important since gas price and headed back up.

Currently, the Ford Edge goes for between $26,000 to $34,000. You can pick up a 2007 model for under $18,00.

The only major recall I found was a dimple in the gas tank that could lead to a leak. I want to note this same gas tank is used on several other models from Ford. For a car that has been on the road for only a couple of years, that is a compliment.

Consumer Guide rates the Ford Edge low mostly because the feel of its’ brake peddle and engine noise. This is understandable. I want to know and feel the car is going to stop, when I put my foot down on the brake.

After reviewing all the recon on the Ford Edge, I will leave this one on the dealer lot. It is not on my list to test drive.
